ALPENWOOD GUESTHOUSE
RETREAT & MASSAGE
Come away and rest awhile.
Experience the majesty of the southern Alberta Rocky Mountains.
Enter into the peace and tranquility of this healing place,
set apart from the cares of the world.
Get Away for the Health of it!!
This
is nature at its finest - 57 acres of mountain grandeur, woodlands,
wildflowers, and an array of birds and wildlife - all at your doorstep.
Alpenwood Retreat - the perfect spot to quiet your heart and soul
and just “be”, without a care in the world. Let this
healing place bring rest and renewal to your body, mind, and spirit.
Whether you like to journal, read, walk, or explore the outdoors,
this is the place for you. Paint or sketch, take pictures, have
a relaxing massage, or just daydream and contemplate life in this
idyllic setting.
If you would like to chat with someone over coffee, or have a counselling
session or prayer time, Elaine would be happy to arrange this with
you. She can also guide you to various books available in the guest
library, or to workbooks that may address your individual concerns.
Spending your time completely on your own is also an option, if
that is what suits your particular needs and desires.
Living Arrangements
You‘ll have plenty of space and privacy to make yourself
at home. Choose from one of the 3 available rooms, each with its
own bathroom:
- The Meadow and Wilderness Rooms are located at either end of
the walkout basement. Between them is a spacious living area,
with a wood fireplace, piano, and kitchen, and an incredible panoramic
view of Table Mountain.
- The Woodland Suite is a private self-contained one-room suite,
apart from the main house.
Each of the two living areas has its own kitchen, along with an
outdoor BBQ and fire pit, where you can prepare your meals just
the way you like them, or heat up your favourite pizza, at whatever
time of day you desire.
Both areas are equipped with wireless internet, TV, DVD & CD
players, along with DVD’s & CD’s, games, and puzzles.
Treat yourself to some time away, whether it’s for a few hours,
days, or weeks – whatever you decide is the right amount of
time for you. You’re worth it! And the benefits will be long-lasting,
for both you and the people you care about.
